Don't miss Scheherazade!

Two Performances
~ Sunday, March 11 in Seattle
Founders' Hall, University Prep map | directions

~ Sunday, March 4 in Kent
First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave SE, Kent, WA
map | directions

Both performances begin at 3:00 (door opens at 2:30). Suggested donation is $10-$20 per person.

We will begin our concert with Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3, a lively and refreshing piece. Perfect for the beginning of Spring. Next will be Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen, a gypsy rhapsody. Both of our soloists are members of Margaret Pressley's violin studio - Evan Johanson playing the Mozart, and Josie Cheung playing the Sarasate. We will conclude the concert with the great tone poem Scheherazade, by Rimsky-Korsakov. I'm sure you will recognize many of it's beautiful melodies and enjoy the very unique orchestral colors that Rimsky-Korsakov is so well known for.

Two years ago we changed our name from
Musicians Emeritus Symphony Orchestra

...Same people, same mission... We just changed our name to better reflect the diverse age groups we represent, as well as all the fun we have preparing and performing classical music to our ever-growing audience!

We are truly a multi-generational orchestra, with members (and even soloists) who are youngsters, as well as seniors in their 80s and 90s who indeed keep young by playing every week!
